The Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) is a leading group of over 1,800 physicians in Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C., exclusively caring for Kaiser Permanente patients. This is a part-time specialist position in Emergency Medicine at the Tysons Corner Medical Center. MAPMG is built and led by physicians who earn competitive salaries, without income based on providing individual services. The medical group comprises board-certified physicians across 60+ specialties and utilizes a comprehensive electronic health record (EHR) to coordinate care. The focus is on long-term health, prevention, diagnosing, and treating diseases effectively. MAPMG researchers and staff support innovative ideas, ensuring quality care, educational programming, and advancing best practices through research. This role offers non-traditional Emergency Medicine opportunities in Advanced Urgent Care or Urgent Care settings within a collaborative mixed-specialty department. Physicians will work with emergency medicine, family medicine, and hospitalist physicians. The position involves providing high-quality, patient-focused care in a dynamic clinical setting, supported by a team culture that values flexibility, well-being, and sustainable work-life integration. Direct patient care is a primary function. Observation Units are staffed by hospitalist teams. The role includes 8-9-10 hour shifts, with a minimum of 5 shifts per month, 2 weekend shifts per month (not consecutive), 1 major holiday day annually, and 1 minor holiday day annually. There is no Behavioral Health Observation involved.
