About The Position
Seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Seaside, OR. This inpatient role involves providing comprehensive emergency care in a Level IV Trauma Center. The physician will manage an average daily volume of 15 patients and perform necessary emergency procedures, including intubations. The schedule includes a mix of day and night shifts, with a primary need for night coverage, working approximately 10-12 shifts per month. Collaboration with the Medical Director and proper patient handoff at shift end are expected.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Active Oregon (OR) license
- DEA required
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- ATLS certification
- PALS certification
- NRP certification
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency care to patients in a general ER setting
- Perform intubations and other emergency procedures as needed
- Manage patient volume of approximately 15 patients per day
- Work a mix of day and night shifts, with majority of need on nights
- Collaborate with Medical Director and pass patients to next physician at shift end
