Emergency Medicine Physician
About The Position
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a Locum Tenens position at OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital in Mansfield, Ohio. This role involves providing comprehensive emergency medical care in a high-volume Emergency Department (ED) with an average daily volume of 109 patients. The physician will manage a wide range of emergency conditions, including medical, surgical, and trauma cases, and will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nursing staff, and specialty consultants. The position requires participation in rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights) to ensure 24/7 coverage and demands accurate documentation within the Epic EMR system. The coverage period is from September 1, 2026, ongoing.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
- Active Ohio medical license and DEA.
- Active DEA required.
- ATLS required.
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience required.
- ABFM/ABIM must maintain; ABEM must show past documentation.
- Hospital Privileges Required: Yes
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in a high-volume ED (approximately 109 patients per day).
