About The Position
We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician for a Locum Tenens position in Corsicana, Texas. This role involves providing comprehensive emergency medical services in a Level IV Trauma Center with 14 ER beds. The physician will manage patient care, collaborate with a variety of on-call specialists, and supervise Advanced Practice Providers (APPs). The coverage period is from September 15, 2026, ongoing, with 12-hour shifts. Call coverage is not required. The average daily patient volume is 57, with a case mix consistent with ED cases.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Active Texas License
- Active DEA
- ATLS certification
- ACLS certification
- 2 years of emergency medicine experience required
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical services to patients in the ED.
- Manage patient care in a Level IV Trauma Center with 14 ER beds.
- Collaborate with on-call specialists including OB/GYN, Cardiology, Orthopedic, etc.
- Supervise and coordinate with APP coverage (10 hours per day).
- Perform required procedures and maintain ATLS/ACLS certifications.
