About The Position
Provide comprehensive emergency medical care in a 12-bed Emergency Department in Longview, Texas. The facility is a Level III trauma center with an average daily volume of approximately 23 patients. The role requires hospital privileges and uses Epic with Abridge AI Note. Coverage begins October 17, 2026, and continues ongoing. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are covered.
Requirements
- Board eligible or board certified in Emergency Medicine through ABMS or AOA.
- Active, unrestricted Texas medical license.
- Active DEA registration with a Texas address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5.
- ACLS and ATLS certifications.
- Active Emergency Department practice within the past 12 months.
- At least 100 ED procedures in the past 2 years.
- Residency in an ACGME/AOA-accredited Emergency Medicine program.
- Case logs for the past 2 years.
- Completion of specified CME courses before orientation.
- Hospital privileges are required.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Manage and stabilize acute medical conditions, including trauma, medical emergencies, and critical care.
- Perform required procedures, including moderate and deep sedation.
- Collaborate with NP/PA providers and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic EMR.
