About The Position

Denver Health is seeking a full-time academic Emergency Medicine Physician (Nocturnist) to join their core clinical operations team. The ideal candidate will be an outstanding clinician with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, education, and teaching, contributing to the academic mission of the department. As a faculty member at the sponsoring institution for the Denver Health/CU Anschutz Residency in Emergency Medicine, faculty are expected to be highly motivated, collaborative academicians. The department emphasizes teamwork, alignment with departmental values, and engagement across clinical, educational, and scholarly missions. The Denver Health ED is a high-acuity, busy department serving a diverse population, and it is part of a comprehensive urban health care system that includes a Level 1 trauma center, community health centers, public health services, EMS, and a poison center. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited school
  • Board Eligible/Certified in Emergency Medicine (required)
  • MD-Physician - State Medical Board Required
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures and techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
  • Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care.
  • Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills.
  • Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems.
  • Performs in a tactful and professional manner.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
