About The Position

Denver Health is seeking a full-time academic Emergency Medicine Physician (Nocturnist) to join their core clinical operations team. This role is within the Department of Emergency Medicine and requires a strong commitment to clinical excellence, education, and teaching. As a faculty member at the sponsoring institution for the Denver Health/CU Anschutz Residency in Emergency Medicine, the physician will contribute to the department's mission of serving patients and leading the specialty. The Denver Health Emergency Department is a high-acuity, busy department serving a diverse patient population, and it is part of a comprehensive urban health care system that includes a Level 1 adult and Level 2 pediatric trauma center, a network of community health centers, public health services, EMS, and a poison center. Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine from an accredited school.
  • Board Eligible/Certified in Emergency Medicine.
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.
  • Ability to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care.
  • Ability to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels and value systems.
  • Performs in a tactful and professional manner.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
