About The Position

Hartford HealthCare is seeking Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians to join their team at The William W. Backus Hospital in Norwich, CT. This is a Level 3 trauma center with a 43-bed, 55,000+ visit emergency department. The role offers a well-balanced 10-hour shift schedule with a 2-hour overlap, promoting efficient patient care and documentation. The practice model is designed to allow physicians to focus on higher acuity patients, supported by a stable and experienced ED team and responsive hospital administration. Hartford HealthCare is the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Connecticut, with a network of seven acute care hospitals, a major academic and surgical hospital, community teaching hospitals, and a large multi-specialty medical group.

Requirements

• Board-Certified Emergency Medicine Physician.
• Ability to obtain licensure in CT.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency medical care to patients.
• Manage higher acuity patients effectively.
• Complete patient documentation.
• Participate in patient disposition and turnover.
