About The Position

We’re looking for a Payroll Supervisor to lead and optimize our payroll operations while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional service. In this high-impact role, you’ll oversee payroll functions across multiple systems, guide faculty and staff compensation processes, and play a key role in improving workflows and resolving complex payroll issues. This role is essential to ensuring our faculty and staff are compensated accurately and fairly, supporting our broader mission of delivering high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university
  • Three to five years related payroll experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High level of initiative and ability to work independently
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to analyze complex processes and recommend improvements
  • Knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and execute all aspects of payroll operations, including accurate and timely payroll processing.
  • Maintain payroll records in compliance with institutional, state, and federal regulations.
  • Administer faculty compensation such as PRN pay, supplemental pay, incentives, and shift differentials.
  • Supervise labor distribution, faculty time and leave reporting (including FMLA and leave payouts).
  • Manage year-end payroll processes such as regulatory reporting and W-2 and other tax form preparation.
  • Evaluate and improve payroll policies and workflows.
  • Manage payroll exceptions and deductions.
  • Ensure compliance with evolving legislation.
  • Support audits and implement process improvements in partnership with Finance.
  • Serve as a key resource to faculty and staff by addressing payroll questions and resolving discrepancies with professionalism and sound judgment.
