Emergency Medicine APP
About The Position
The Emergency Medicine APP position is a full-time role within UNC Health Blue Ridge's Emergency Medicine facilities in Morganton and Valdese. The department's goal is to provide excellent care using advanced technology to diagnose and treat health concerns before they become serious or life-threatening. UNC Health Blue Ridge is an independent, not-for-profit system dedicated to promoting wellness and meeting lifetime healthcare needs. The Morganton facility is a Level 3 Trauma Center with approximately 32,000 annual visits, while the Valdese facility is a freestanding 24-hour emergency department with approximately 20,000 annual visits. Both facilities utilize Epic as their EMR and offer comprehensive subspecialty support.
Requirements
- NC PA/NP license (NPs must be ENP boarded or eligible).
- BLS, ACLS before starting.
- Must obtain ATLS after starting eventually.
- Training depends on experience level.
Responsibilities
- Provide care in the Emergency Department at UNC Health Blue Ridge – Morganton and Valdese facilities.
- Collaborate with physicians and other APPs in patient coverage.
- Utilize advanced technology for diagnosis and treatment.
- Contribute to the mission of improving health and well-being.
- Participate in training the next generation of healthcare leaders.
