About The Position

Emergency Medical Technicians are responsible for providing emergent and non-emergent Basic Life Support (BLS) services to the sick and injured, and for continuing to provide BLS medical services until responsibility for patient care can be assumed by hospital authorities or a Paramedic. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement" The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is the largest employer in Saskatchewan, employing more than 45,000 staff in a dynamic healthcare environment. Requirements

  • Valid Class 4 driver's license
  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Pre-Hospital Care Program - Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) Level
  • Advanced - Communication skills
  • Advanced - Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to work independently
  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at PCP/EMT level

Responsibilities
