About The Position
Saint Mary's Hospital is seeking dedicated EMTs to provide quality care to local communities from its Waterbury EMS site. The role involves performing tasks required for effective and efficient patient care in pre-hospital settings and/or during intra-facility transfers. This is a full-time, 12-hour night-shift position with hours listed as 7 p.m. to 7 p.m., including weekends and holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain continuing education as applicable and required by local Medical Control Authorities and the state's Department of Consumer & Industry Services.
- Licensed as an Emergency Medical Responder or EMT-B.
- Current AHA CPR certification.
- Valid driver's license in good standing in Connecticut and eligibility for driving privileges under current company policies and procedures.
- Ability to think and act calmly and quickly in emergency situations.
Responsibilities
- Provide exemplary care and customer service while interacting professionally with patients, families, hospital staff, the general public, and other public safety agencies.
- Safely operate and assist in maintaining company-owned vehicles as required.
- Replenish medical equipment and supplies as needed.
- Perform tasks required for effective and efficient patient care in pre-hospital settings and/or intra-facility transfers.
