Requirements

  • 1 year of experience as an EMT, paramedic, or RN
  • Must hold a current certificate/license to practice as a Paramedic or EMT in the state of California.
  • A thorough understanding of EMS training equipment.
  • Comfortable with computers and technology.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Applicants must be available during the hours of this class schedule to be considered for this position. Schedule is: Monday-Friday 1 pm-5 pm

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of experience, training, and/or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting students with the skills associated with the scope of practice for their designated subject.
  • Assisting the lead instructor to evaluate, report, and record student performance and progress.
  • Assisting lead instructor with all required skill labs, grading class assignments, and exams.
  • Preparing students to go on to an externship.
  • Assisting students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
  • Providing a professional role model for students.
  • Maintaining current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective communication strategies.
