Requirements
- 1 year of experience as an EMT, paramedic, or RN
- Must hold a current certificate/license to practice as a Paramedic or EMT in the state of California.
- A thorough understanding of EMS training equipment.
- Comfortable with computers and technology.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.
- Applicants must be available during the hours of this class schedule to be considered for this position. Schedule is: Monday-Friday 1 pm-5 pm
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of experience, training, and/or supervisory experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assisting students with the skills associated with the scope of practice for their designated subject.
- Assisting the lead instructor to evaluate, report, and record student performance and progress.
- Assisting lead instructor with all required skill labs, grading class assignments, and exams.
- Preparing students to go on to an externship.
- Assisting students to develop an understanding of values, attitudes, and ideals appropriate to the health care profession.
- Providing a professional role model for students.
- Maintaining current knowledge in the subject matter area and effective communication strategies.
