This role responds to emergent and non-emergent calls for service within the community and provides assessment, treatment and transportation in adherence to the Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations and organization policies, procedures and protocols.
Requirements
- Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)
- Valid Class 4 driver's license
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
- International Trauma Life Support Advanced Certificate (ITLS)
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Registered/eligible with Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at ACP/EMT-P
Nice To Haves
- Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement
- HSAS seniority in the SHA will be considered under the selection criteria
