About The Position

Epoch Health Care LLC is a growing medical transportation and emergency medical services company headquartered in Norwood, Massachusetts. We serve patients throughout the Greater Boston area under contracts with the City of Boston, MassHealth, Medicare, and Boston Public Schools. We are currently expanding our BLS ambulance operations and building a team of dedicated EMS professionals committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality patient care. Epoch Health Care LLC is seeking certified EMT-Basics to join our growing BLS ambulance team in the Greater Boston area. You will respond to emergency and non-emergency calls, provide patient care at the BLS level, and safely transport patients to appropriate medical facilities. You will work alongside experienced crews and report to the Operations/Compliance Manager and Medical Director. This is a great opportunity to build your EMS career with a mission-driven company.

Requirements

  • Current Massachusetts EMT-Basic certification (or National Registry with MA reciprocity)
  • Current American Heart Association BLS / CPR certification
  • Valid Massachusetts driver's license in good standing
  • Clean driving record — pass DMV background check
  • Pass CORI (criminal background check) and drug screening
  • Ability to lift and maneuver at least 125 lbs with assistance
  • High school diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an EMT-Basic on an ambulance
  • Experience with EMS documentation software (e.g., ESO, ImageTrend)
  • Familiarity with Greater Boston geography and street systems
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish, English/Haitian Creole, or other languages) a plus
  • Interest in advancing to Paramedic level — scholarship support available

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to emergency and non-emergency calls as directed by dispatch
  • Perform complete and accurate BLS patient assessments in accordance with the MA statewide protocols
  • Administer basic life support care, including CPR, oxygen, splinting, and bleeding control
  • Safely operate ambulance vehicles in compliance with MA traffic laws and company policy
  • Complete accurate patient care reports (PCRs) and all required documentation after each call
  • Inspect, clean, and restock ambulance and medical equipment at the start of each shift
  • Communicate professionally with hospital staff, physicians, and other EMS providers
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Participate in QA/QI programs as required under the service's affiliation agreement
  • Perform housekeeping and maintenance duties at the base of operations
