This position involves teaching assigned EMS courses and workforce offerings. The instructor will be responsible for delivering instruction through various methods including classroom, laboratory, simulation, clinical, and field settings. Key duties include maintaining accurate student records, assessing student competencies, and ensuring students are prepared for certification examinations and workforce entry. The role also requires modeling professionalism, patient safety, ethics, and effective communication, while maintaining safe instructional environments and equipment. Compliance with university policies, NM EMS Bureau requirements, and clinical affiliate requirements is mandatory. The instructor must maintain their own certifications and professional competence through continuing education and practice. Participation in assessment, outreach, recruitment, and meetings is also expected.
