Murray-Calloway County Hospital seeks a certified Emergency Medical Technician for a PRN (as needed) position. This position has rotating shifts. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• EMT Certification for State of KY

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as an EMT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the pre-hospital treatment and transport of the sick or injured of all age groups.
• Uses appropriate skills and knowledge on the scene and in the ambulance to best protect and treat the patient.
• Calmly makes appropriate decisions in all situations as to treatment, transportation and extrication.
• Understands limitations and stays within those limitations when treating or discussing treatment of his/her patient.
• Uses equipment assigned to incumbent appropriately so as to not injure patient or abuse equipment.
• Possesses the ability to assess the patient and situation so as to determine actions needed.
