About The Position

Saline Valley Diagnostic Radiology (SVDR), which has served the Southern Illinois community for more than 40 years, is seeking a full-time remote Emergency/General Radiologist to support its growing practice. The radiologist will read a broad spectrum of diagnostic imaging and work collaboratively with local referring physicians. Fellowship experience in Emergency Radiology, Body Imaging, Neuroradiology, or Musculoskeletal Radiology is a plus but is not required; ER experience is preferred. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with a flexible shift of either 10 a.m.–6 p.m. or 11 a.m.–7 p.m. Central Time. The role is 100% general radiology, with 215 shifts annually, no call, and no weekends. Mammography and PET/CT interpretation are not required. SVDR provides support through its internal 24/7 Results Communication Center (CORE), which coordinates care and clinical contact and helps reduce day-to-day administrative work. The practice continually reviews and improves radiology services through clinical initiatives, research, artificial intelligence, and best practices.

Requirements

Board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology.
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree.
Residency training in Diagnostic Radiology.
Ability to obtain Illinois and Missouri licenses.

Nice To Haves

Fellowship training in Emergency Radiology, Body Imaging, Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal Radiology, or another subspecialty.
Experience in emergency radiology.
