About The Position

T1 Energy is looking to hire an Emergency Dispatch Operator responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and responding to security-related activities within a manufacturing facility. This role functions similarly to emergency dispatch (EMS/911), serving as the central communication hub for security personnel, safety teams, and facility operations. The dispatcher ensures rapid response to incidents, maintains situational awareness, and supports the safety and security of personnel, property, and production processes.

Requirements

  • Experience in monitoring CCTV systems
  • Proven ability to make quick and effective decisions under pressure
  • High-caliber communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience in dispatching, preferably in a security or emergency services environment
  • High School Diploma/ GED
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a high-stress environment
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Nice To Haves

  • Associate or Bachelor degree preferred
  • Prior experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Experience monitoring in an SOC/GSOC environment.
  • Certification in emergency dispatching, public safety communications, or security operations.
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and emergency response procedures.
  • Bilingual (Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Monitor security systems including CCTV, alarms, access control systems, and emergency communication systems
  • Receive, assess, and prioritize incoming calls, alarms, and incident reports.
  • Dispatch security officers and other response teams to incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain constant communication with on-site security staff, management, and emergency services when necessary.
  • Document all incidents, communications, and actions taken in dispatch logs and reporting systems.
  • Coordinate responses to emergencies such as medical incidents, fires, hazardous material events, and security breaches.
  • Track the location and status of security personnel and resources.
  • Provide clear instructions and guidance during emergency situations following established protocols.
  • Escalate incidents to appropriate internal leadership and external authorities when required.
  • Conduct routine system checks to ensure all communication and monitoring equipment is operational.
  • Support drills, training exercises, and continuous improvement of emergency response procedures.
