OR - ED Tech - Days
About The Position
Assists with patient admissions, both outpatient and inpatient, in the Emergency Department and other clinical areas of the hospital as required. Performs clerical duties associated with patient care and assists with care for patients ranging from newborns to geriatric patients, as directed by the Emergency Department Manager, Medical Director, and designated unit staff. The Emergency Department cares for patients with a broad spectrum of needs, including non-critical and emergent medical conditions and urgent mental health care. It serves patients arriving by walk-in or emergency transport. Staff are certified to provide care for critical cardiac and trauma patients, including children.
Requirements
- Current, unencumbered EMT, AEMT, or EMT-I certification in Oregon.
- Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Experience or training in computer applications.
- At least 1 year of experience.
- BLS/BCLS certification.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Emergency Department experience.
