About The Position

This role involves working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner or Physician. The Emergency Department Tech collaborates with the Emergency Department and other departments to ensure quality patient care. They serve as a member of the trauma/code/sepsis/stroke team. Responsibilities include obtaining patient vitals and EKG, ordering and obtaining labs, starting IVs, assisting with patient care workflow, transporting and rooming patients, and answering phones/emails. Efficient communication with Emergency Department members, other departments, hospitals, and dispatch is essential. The role also includes performing a variety of other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Training in any and/or all of the following classes, Paramedic, basic EMT training, Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant.
Must have current American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of 6 months’ experience in a similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities
