About The Position

This position works under the direction of a Registered Nurse, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner or Physician. Collaborates with Emergency Department, other departments and healthcare team to ensure quality patient care is provided. Serves as a member of the trauma/code/sepsis/stroke team.
Requirements
- Training in any and/or all of the following classes, Paramedic, basic EMT training, Medical Assistant, Certified Nurse Assistant.
- Must have current American Heart Association BLS certification upon hire and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of 6 months’ experience in a similar role is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Obtains patient vitals and EKG, orders and obtains labs, starts IVs, assists with patient care work flow.
- Transports and rooms patients, answers phones/emails
- Communicates efficiently with Emergency Department members and other departments, hospitals, dispatch, etc.
- Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
