About The Position
Central Maine Healthcare (CMH) is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving approximately 400,000 residents across central, western, and midcoast Maine. The system includes Central Maine Medical Center (CMMC), Bridgton Hospital, and Rumford Hospital. CMH is also home to the Maine College of Health Professions. The Emergency Department Technician is an unlicensed non-certified assistive person who assists with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-critical patients, and assists in maintaining a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Current EMT Certification or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), if required by the State
- Current BLS (AHA) within 30 days of hire and maintain current
- Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
Nice To Haves
- Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician’s office preferred
