Emergency Department RN Part Time 9A-9P
About The Position
Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. The position is 24 hours per week, working two 12-hour day shifts from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The schedule rotates every fourth weekend, with holidays as required. This position is benefit eligible. The RN is responsible and accountable for providing direct, comprehensive nursing care and functions as an on-shift team member, providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Emergency Department has 41 beds divided between two pods, including 37 private rooms. A split-flow area near main triage cares for lower-acuity patients and is staffed by one or two nurses and a mid-level provider. The fast-paced department treats an average of more than 160 patients per day and serves patients with acute cardiovascular and neurovascular emergencies, general medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, and psychiatric needs. The ED is recognized by the American Heart Association as a STEMI receiving center and designated Primary Stroke Center. New graduate RNs are welcome.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact-state RN license, or graduation from an approved nursing program.
- BLS for healthcare providers certification required.
- ACLS certification required within 12 months of hire.
- PALS certification required within 12 months of hire.
- NIHSS certification required within 10 weeks of hire.
