Emergency Department RN Part Time 9A-9P
About The Position
Seeking Registered Nurse for Baptist Health Floyd, Emergency Department. This is a Part-Time position (24 hours/week) with Day shifts (9am-9pm), requiring every 4th weekend. The RN will be responsible and accountable for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient, functioning as an on-shift team member providing direct patient care to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The Emergency Department (ED) has 41 beds divided between two pods with 37 private rooms. A split-flow area is located near main triage and provides care to lower acuity patients. This fast-paced ED treats an average of 160+ patients per day, encountering a wide variety of patients including acute cardiovascular and neurovascular emergencies, general medical emergencies, traumatic injuries, and psychiatric patients. The ED is recognized by the American Heart Association as both a STEMI receiving center and a designated Primary Stroke Center. New Graduate RNs are welcome.
Requirements
- Current Indiana or compact state RN license, or graduate of approved nursing program
- BLS for healthcare provider required.
- ACLS certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
- PALS certification required (obtained within 12 months of hire).
- NIHSS certification required (obtained within 10 weeks of hire).
