About The Position

The Registered Nurse is an essential member of the patient care team and delivers direct and indirect patient care through the nursing process in assigned areas. The RN assesses patients upon admission using appropriate interview techniques to obtain past medical history, current medical status, vital signs, laboratory work, X-rays, and other diagnostic test results. The RN participates in planning and implementing a written care plan under the direction of a Physician. Specialty-area nurses must meet requirements established for their discipline.

Requirements

• Successful completion of an approved School of Nursing.
• Current, valid New Hampshire Registered Nurse license, or eligibility to obtain one.
• BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Ability to perform the essential job functions and meet the qualifications listed for the position.
• Ability to perform standard assessments using basic equipment.
• Visual acuity and hand-eye coordination for medication administration.
• Ability to meet standards of the job analysis form.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Clinical experience preferred.
• Membership in a professional nursing organization.
• Certification in a specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate verbally and in writing.
• Interact positively with team members and patients.
• Respect patients’ cultures, lifestyles, religions, and ages when planning or implementing care.
• Accept constructive criticism and channel emotional reactions in a positive manner.
