This Emergency Department features 32 beds and an average daily patient census of 90-110. The RN to patient ratio is 1:4, and the PCT to patient ratio is 1:6-12. The department typically manages general emergency department complaints, including abdominal pain, chest pain, shortness of breath (SOB), behavioral health (BH) patients, geriatric patients, occasional pediatric cases, and occasional labor and delivery patients (usually transferred). Staff will be working with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) EPIC, Alaris IV pumps, and the Pyxis medication dispensing system. Phlebotomy and lab draw support are available 24/7. New staff will receive general hospital orientation and 1-2 shifts on the unit followed by 2-3 shifts working independently. Support from PCTs and Receptionists/HUCs is available 24/7, as are hospitalist and emergency department physicians on-site 24/7. The ideal candidate will possess soft skills such as being a team player, organized, possessing strong communication and time management skills. Free parking is available for all staff members.
