Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state of practice.
1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with practice management software and electronic medical records.
Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Fine motor skills for patient handling and medical equipment use.
Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, work on the floor, lift up to 25 kg independently, and support up to 40 kg with assistance.
Willingness to work in a noisy environment with strong or unpleasant odors.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating or as-needed basis.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with diverse individuals.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program.
Experience in emergency or specialty medicine.
VTS in ECC, internal medicine, or anesthesia/analgesia (will lead to extra compensation considerations).

Responsibilities

Treat every patient and person with importance, ensuring people and pets stay together through tests and treatments.
Deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during critical moments, from initial triage to discharge.
Administer medications, monitoring, and advanced treatments such as IVs, CRIs, and blood transfusions.
Communicate effectively as a team member and think like a leader to help shape plans and maintain care flow.
Perform CPR, utilizing training and industry-leading expertise in RECOVER CPR.
Conduct diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
Administer anesthesia, even for fragile patients.
Utilize advanced techniques including central lines, endoscopy, and ultrasounds.
