Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Credentialed as a veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in the state of practice.
1+ years of experience in a veterinary technician role.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with practice management software and electronic medical records.
Excellent communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
Fine motor skills for patient handling and medical equipment use.
Ability to stand for prolonged hours, kneel, work on the floor, and lift up to 25 kg independently and support up to 40 kg with assistance.
Willingness to work in a noisy environment with strong or unpleasant odors.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating or as-needed basis.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with diverse individuals.

Nice To Haves

Associate's degree or higher in veterinary technology from an AVMA accredited program.
Experience in emergency or specialty medicine.
VTS in ECC, internal medicine, or anesthesia/analgesia.
Experience with RECOVER CPR protocols.

Responsibilities

Treat every patient and person with importance, ensuring people and pets stay together through tests and treatments.
Provide nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during critical moments, from initial triage to patient discharge.
Administer medications, manage monitoring, and perform advanced procedures such as IVs, CRIs, and blood transfusions.
Communicate effectively as a team member and think critically to contribute to care plans and ensure smooth operations.
Perform CPR, utilizing training and industry-leading expertise in RECOVER CPR protocols.
Conduct diagnostics, imaging, sample collection, and tube placement.
Administer anesthesia, even for fragile patients.
Utilize advanced techniques including central lines, endoscopy, and ultrasounds.
