Job Summary:
Assists nurses, physicians, and mid-level practitioners in the safe delivery of patient care. Assists in coordination of patient care with other departments. Assists in the maintenance of a well-stocked, no expired supplies/equipment, and clean Emergency Department.

Requirements

• Minimum: High School Diploma or equivalent; at least 18 years of age.
• Passed monitor examination within six (6) months post-hire.
• Six (6) months of Emergency Care Technician I (JC: 770105) experience (or equivalent) in an emergency department setting.
• Human Resources (HR) may accept Florida EMT licensure in lieu of the required experience.
• Minimum: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).

Nice To Haves

• Licensed as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in accordance with Florida Statutes, Title XXIX (Public Health), Chapter 401 (Medical Telecommunications and Transportation), Part III (Medical Transportation Services).
