About The Position

The OU Office of Admissions & Recruitment (OAR) is seeking to recruit the next generation of Sooners. Our team operates from Norman as well as across the state, nation, and world, providing support to incoming domestic and international freshman and transfer students as they navigate the college application and decision process. We partner with parents, counselors, and communities to provide resources to students interested in higher education. Our goal is to build a vibrant community with limitless potential by recruiting the most academically qualified students with a variety of educational, service, involvement, and community experiences.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in the Fall 2026 Term as an undergraduate student at the University of Oklahoma.
• Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
• Must attach Fall 2026 OU class schedule
• Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, especially over the phone, and answer questions about the University.
• Must be able to collaborate and get along with a team.

Nice To Haves

• Available to begin work in Fall 2026 and continue through Spring 2027.

Responsibilities

• Make phone calls to prospective high school students.
• Connect with prospective students and demonstrate enthusiasm about the University of Oklahoma.
• Encourage prospective students to complete specific actions throughout the year that will be determined by the call campaign provided (to apply, to submit their enrollment deposit, to register for an event, etc.).
• Other duties as assigned.
• This is NOT a fundraising position.
