About The Position

The Embryology Internship Program offers a comprehensive, paid, one-year program across all modules of embryology at our state-of-the-art labs located in Victoria, B.C. This program is designed for candidates with a biology, physiology, or life sciences background who are considering future employment in the field of embryology. It includes hands-on training from experienced embryologists in Canada. Upon completion, interns will be prioritized for placement opportunities within the partner network of clinics across the country. This role is a twelve (12) month fixed contract position. It is an entry-level developmental position within the embryology laboratory, providing structured training in basic embryology procedures under direct supervision, with the goal of achieving independent technical competency.

Requirements

Biology, physiology, or life-sciences background.
Must be able to achieve independent technical competency.
Must be able to perform embryology procedures only after documented competency validation and have been signed off by the Laboratory Director.
Must maintain detailed training logs with trainer signatures.
May perform independently only on validated and signed off techniques and will continue to require assistance and support.
Is not eligible to perform weekend duties without accompaniment.
