About The Position

Under general supervision, the Embroidery Specialist handles product throughout the order fulfillment process. Tasks may include picking, hooping, sewing, finishing, packing, sorting, shipping, running, inspecting, and auditing. The specialist operates automatic CNC embroidery machines with multiple sewing heads and needles, monitors several machines during operation, and maintains production speed, accuracy, and quality standards. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with starting pay of $20.00.

Requirements

• Two years of related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess the work area for safety hazards and potential safety improvements.
• Organize the work area to maintain 5S standards.
• Participate in company, site, and assigned production-area meetings as scheduled.
• Communicate issues to team members and management to help solve problems.
• Perform operator maintenance on assigned machines.
• Perform a start-up test swatch on each machine before production.
• Prioritize work orders based on due dates and management direction.
• Analyze digitized files to ensure satisfactory embroidery execution.
• Configure job specifications in the machine controller according to the work order.
• Evaluate whether each job is properly fixtured before execution.
• Load embroidery machines properly.
• Operate automatic CNC embroidery machines with multiple sewing heads and needles.
• Monitor multiple machines during operation, fixing thread breaks and making adjustments.
• Maintain speed and accuracy in accordance with engineered standards.
• Record production, damages, and issues on daily production paperwork.
• Examine finished products to ensure quality standards.
• Move, track, sort, and handle product during order fulfillment, including picking, hooping, sewing, finishing, packing, sorting, shipping, running, inspecting, and auditing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
