  • Strong embedded C/C++ experience with microcontroller development in bare-metal and/or RTOS environments.
  • Strong analog and digital circuit design experience, including schematic capture and PCB development or review.
  • Hands-on board bring-up, debugging, validation, and root-cause analysis using appropriate lab equipment.
  • Experience implementing and debugging common embedded communication interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, RS-232/RS-485, CAN, Ethernet, or USB.
  • Demonstrated experience taking physical embedded products from prototype through validation and production release.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis skills, with a practical and hands-on approach to solving complex problems.
  • Clear technical communication and documentation; collaborative, curious, and accountable, with ownership and follow-through for secure, reliable, production-ready results.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing embedded Linux-based systems; Yocto experience is particularly valuable.
  • Experience with wireless technologies such as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi, or NFC.
  • Experience implementing secure boot and embedded cybersecurity practices.
  • Experience with electronic access control, security, IoT, or other connected-device products.
  • Experience supporting regulatory certification and compliance activities such as FCC, CE, UL, EMC/EMI, RoHS, or REACH.
  • Python experience for test automation, diagnostics, or engineering tools.
  • Experience working with Docker containers and embedded web server development.
  • Experience with Matter, Thread, Z-Wave, or Zigbee.
  • Knowledge of NIST, FIPS, or ISO cybersecurity frameworks and standards.
  • Familiarity with Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub, Jira, Confluence, or CI/CD development environments.

Responsibilities
