Embedded Software Engineer The Opportunity: As an embedded software engineer, you know how to create and maintain crucial pieces of software. You use your knowledge to write and optimize code that creates a bridge between pieces of software, allowing them to communicate. We’re looking for an embedded software engineer like you to develop technology for our clients’ most important mission-forward challenges. As an embedded software engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll support the development of systems and tools for our clients. Requirements

3+ years of experience working in embedded system development
Experience working with microcontrollers, FPGA, or custom hardware platforms
Experience applying C, C++, hardware interfaces including SPI and UART, and debugging tools in hands-on engineering environments
Experience maintaining and expanding state machine designs to support system functionality
Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, engineers, and subject matter experts
Experience researching emerging technologies and integrated new concepts into project needs
Experience interpreting schematics, datasheets, and system requirements to guide technical decisions
Experience documenting engineering work products, configuration, and test results
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science and 3+ years of experience with software engineering or 7+ years of experience with software engineering in lieu of a degree
