About The Position

As an embedded software engineer, you know how to create and maintain crucial pieces of software. You use your knowledge to write and optimize code that creates a bridge between pieces of software, allowing them to communicate. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working in embedded system development
  • Experience working with microcontrollers, FPGA, or custom hardware platforms
  • Experience applying C, C++, hardware interfaces including SPI and UART, and debugging tools in hands-on engineering environments
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science and 3+ years of experience with software engineering or 7+ years of experience with software engineering in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of systems and tools for clients.
  • Write, test, and edit code.
  • Develop and configure solutions based on the platform being used.
  • Partner with team leadership to troubleshoot and correct operational issues.
  • Maintain and expand state machine designs to support system functionality.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, testers, engineers, and subject matter experts.
  • Research emerging technologies and integrate new concepts into project needs.
  • Interpret schematics, datasheets, and system requirements to guide technical decisions.
  • Document engineering work products, configuration, and test results.
