About The Position

As a software engineer for our Idaho Scientific group, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing and deploying secure system solutions through novel CPU design, crypto cores, purpose-built system-on-a-chip architectures, and hardened operating systems. Our solutions are the foundation for how military systems will remain safe and secure in the conflicts of the future. This position is ideally fully on-site while you learn, but some flex arrangements are available based on manager discretion. While on-site, you will be a part of the Boise or Salt Lake City locations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or Engineering, Science, or Math.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Clear understanding of the software engineering concepts, principles, theories, software development process, and agile methodology.
  • Clear understanding of the software development process, with agile experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong foundation in relevant coursework or projects: embedded C/C++, RTOS, digital logic, Verilog/SystemVerilog, FPGA development, or ASIC design flow.
  • Evidence of hands-on problem solving: personal, academic, internship, lab, or open-source work that shows candidates can design, debug, test, and document technical solutions.
  • Curiosity and collaboration: clear communication, willingness to learn quickly, and an ability to work thoughtfully with hardware and software engineers in a security-focused environment.
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
