About The Position

Develop and test software in support of Caterpillar machine electrification applications. Develop and manage project plans. Gather and understand electrification application software requirements and translate them to technical requirements. Design and develop software components. Organize and manage the testing of products. Ensure product deficiencies are addressed. Help drive product improvements in areas such as performance, robustness, usability, field deployment, and collection of diagnostics information. Ensure the organization's processes and procedures are followed. Troubleshoot system malfunctions to restore normal function. Support the electrification application teams in software and systems troubleshooting. Provide support for Caterpillar machine electrification applications.

Requirements

  • Software development in C: writing requirements, analysis, design, development, debugging, code reviews, writing test plans, and testing
  • Software development in MathWorks Simulink: writing requirements, analysis, design, development, debugging, code reviews, writing test plans, and testing
  • Bench and lab testing of embedded software
  • Debugger tools such as Lauterbach
  • Software configuration management in GIT
  • CAN data link protocol
  • CAN development tools such as CANape
