Indoronix is hiring an experienced Embedded Software Engineer Level 3 to join our dynamic Rolling Meadows team. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field (Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or similar).
• 3–5 years of experience developing embedded software.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming with C++11.
• Hands-on experience testing and debugging embedded systems on real target hardware.
• Expertise with real-time operating systems (RTOS).
• Active Secret Clearance (mandatory).

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with VxWorks RTOS.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Batch.
• Background in Agile software development methodologies within team settings.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, operate, and maintain embedded software for engineering, scientific, and manufacturing systems.
• Apply industry standards, processes, and tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Integrate, test, and debug embedded software on target hardware utilizing real-time operating systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams and program stakeholders to deliver robust solutions.
• Ensure software meets rigorous security and quality requirements for defense applications.
