About The Position

As a Software Engineer on Honeywell Aerospace Technologies’ Flight Management Systems (FMS) team, you will contribute to the design, development, and enhancement of advanced Flight Management software used in modern aircraft navigation and flight management solutions. The role supports software solutions that improve flight safety, optimize aircraft performance and navigation, and enhance the flying experience for operators and passengers. You will work with cross-functional teams to integrate software and support requirements analysis, feature definition, development, integration, and system verification and validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• Experience in embedded systems software development.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, ADA, Python, or VB.
• Must be a U.S. Person as defined in the posting, or have the ability to obtain export authorization.

• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and coding standards.
• Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices.
• Experience with avionics, flight management, aerospace systems, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software components for Flight Management Systems (FMS).
• Collaborate with systems engineering, hardware, and testing teams to integrate software solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization to deliver reliable, high-quality software.
• Support requirements analysis and decomposition, software development and integration, feature definition, and system verification and validation.
