Embedded Software Engineer, Ground Systems

AnySignal•Los Angeles, CA
•$130,000 - $200,000

About The Position

AnySignal is developing the next generation of RF products and services for some of the most demanding space and defense missions. We’re building a flexible, high-performance platform that’s easy to deploy, monitor, and scale, enabling customers to bring advanced radio technologies to life faster than ever before. We’re hiring an Embedded Software Engineer to develop the software that controls and operates our ground antenna systems. This role sits at the intersection of software and electromechanical systems. You will develop software that controls antenna motion, motors, actuators, sensors, and other components, integrate new electrical and mechanical systems into the ground software stack, and work closely with mechanical, electrical, RF, and software engineers to build and operate reliable ground systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field
  • Strong software development experience in Python
  • Strong experience developing software in Embedded Linux environments
  • Experience with networking and software communication protocols
  • Professional experience developing and debugging software that integrates with motors, actuators, servos, encoders, sensors, controllers, or other electromechanical systems
  • Experience developing and debugging low-level interfaces and communication protocols
  • Experience with test automation and software validation
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with software, electrical, mechanical, and RF engineers
  • U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the necessary authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing software in C or C++
  • Experience with RF systems, satellite communications, or ground-station systems
  • Experience deploying or supporting integrated software/electromechanical systems in field environments
  • Experience with GNU Radio or similar software-defined radio frameworks

Responsibilities
