The Bessie & Leland Speed Counseling Center is seeking an Embedded Counselor to provide mental health support and educational programs to the university community, aiming to enhance the overall well-being of students, faculty, and staff.
Requirements
- Master's degree required.
- 3 years of relevant experience required.
- Must be eligible or hold LPC or LCSW or LMFT with licensure in Mississippi.
Responsibilities
- Provides professional mental health counseling to students in the form of individual, group, and couples therapy.
- Provides crisis intervention for students experiencing a psychological emergency.
- Consults with academic departments and student affairs departments.
- May be involved in crisis prevention, or aiding with adjustment problems after a major life event.
- Maintains confidential records.
