About The Position

The Email & SMS Marketing Specialist is a data-driven individual who owns the execution and optimization of our lifecycle marketing programs through the Listrak platform. This role will be responsible for building campaigns and automated journeys that drive revenue, increase customer retention, and support our omnichannel retail strategy. The ideal candidate combines technical platform expertise, strong marketing instincts, and analytical thinking to translate business goals into high-performing customer communications.

Requirements

  • 2–5 years’ experience in email and/or SMS marketing
  • Hands-on experience with Listrak or a similar ESP/SMS platform (Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and retention strategies
  • Experience with segmentation, automation workflows, and A/B testing
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret performance data

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in retail or ecommerce
  • Familiarity with CRM/CDP data integration
  • Basic understanding of HTML email editing
  • Experience working with marketing calendars and merchandising teams
  • Experience with Listrak a huge plus!

Responsibilities

  • Build, schedule, and deploy email and SMS campaigns using the Listrak platform
  • Manage promotional calendars aligned with merchandising, ecommerce, and store marketing priorities
  • Ensure campaigns are executed accurately and on schedule
  • Develop and maintain automated lifecycle journeys, including: Welcome series Abandoned cart/browse Post-purchase flows Replenishment reminders Win-back campaigns Loyalty and VIP communications
  • Continuously optimize automation flows to improve conversion and customer engagement
  • Build and manage customer segments based on behavior, purchase history, and engagement
  • Implement dynamic content and personalization to improve relevance and revenue performance
  • Support targeted messaging for new customer acquisition and retention initiatives
  • Execute A/B and multivariate tests on subject lines, creative, send times, segmentation, and offers
  • Analyze campaign performance and recommend improvements
  • Optimize for KPIs including: Revenue per send Conversion rate Click rate List growth SMS engagement
  • Monitor and report on email and SMS performance metrics
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve lifecycle marketing effectiveness
  • Partner with analytics and marketing leadership to measure marketing-influenced revenue
  • Work closely with creative, merchandising, ecommerce, and store marketing teams to ensure messaging aligns with business priorities
  • Coordinate campaign requirements including creative assets, product selections, and landing pages
  • Manage list growth strategies and database health
  • Ensure compliance with CAN-SPAM, TCPA, and SMS opt-in requirements
  • Maintain deliverability best practices and suppression strategies
