About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Email Marketing Manager to lead the strategy, execution, and operations of a large-scale email marketing program. This role will oversee the technical development, deployment, and optimization of email campaigns while managing a team of 6–8 email marketing professionals. The ideal candidate combines hands-on expertise in marketing automation platforms, email coding, segmentation, and personalization with strong people leadership and project management skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of email marketing experience, including hands-on technical development and campaign execution.
  • 3+ years of people management experience leading high-performing teams.
  • Extensive experience with enterprise email marketing platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Adobe Campaign.
  • Strong proficiency with: AMPscript, SQL, HTML/CSS, Dynamic content and personalization, Audience segmentation, Marketing automation workflows
  • Experience executing or supporting ESP migration projects.
  • Experience managing SMS and push messaging campaigns.
  • Knowledge of APIs, webhooks, integrations, and customer data platforms (CDPs).
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Monday.com, or similar platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting membership, subscription, insurance, travel, retail, or consumer-focused organizations.
  • Understanding of UX/UI principles and digital customer engagement best practices.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-channel customer journeys and lifecycle marketing programs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of email marketing campaigns, including architecture, coding, testing, deployment, and performance optimization.
  • Develop and manage the email marketing roadmap, campaign calendar, content schedules, and promotional planning.
  • Drive business growth through targeted email, SMS, push notification, and automated customer journey campaigns.
  • Build and maintain audience segmentation, personalization strategies, dynamic content, and automated workflows using SQL and scripting languages.
  • Manage and mentor a team of 6–8 email marketing specialists responsible for campaign development, coding, QA, and deployment.
  • Oversee campaign quality assurance, ensuring accuracy, deliverability, responsive design, and brand compliance.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, Technology, Analytics, and other cross-functional teams to support customer engagement initiatives.
  • Lead email platform and ESP migration projects, including planning, execution, testing, and stakeholder communication.
  • Manage platform administration, user access, workflow processes, and ongoing operational support.
  • Develop campaign reporting and performance analysis, providing insights and recommendations for optimization.
  • Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and email marketing best practices.
  • Support talent acquisition, onboarding, coaching, and performance management of team members.
