Our Optical Communications segment has recently evolved from being a manufacturer of optical fiber and cable, hardware and equipment to being a comprehensive provider of industry-leading optical solutions across the broader communications industry. This segment is classified into two main product groupings – carrier network and enterprise network. The carrier network product group consists primarily of products and solutions for optical-based communications infrastructure for services such as video, data and voice communications. The enterprise network product group consists primarily of optical-based communication networks sold to businesses, governments and individuals for their own use.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in one or more of the following: supply chain planning, production scheduling, materials planning, procurement, logistics, or operations
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Understanding of inventory management principles
  • Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced, global, matrixed environment
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related field
  • 1-3 years of supply chain experience in a global manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams across regions and time zones
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., SAP ECC or S/4HANA)
  • Lean / Six Sigma experience or certification
  • APICS or similar supply chain certification
  • Project planning & leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Support external manufacturing supply chain operations, including planning, procurement, inventory management, supplier collaboration, logistics, and performance reporting.
  • Drive continuous improvement through root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and best‑practice documentation.
  • Partner with internal teams and external manufacturing suppliers to proactively resolve material availability issues.
  • Plan and execute end‑to‑end supply chain activities to meet customer demand and service objectives.
  • Own and resolve customer supply issues, coordinating cross‑functionally as needed.
  • Support new product introductions and product transfers by aligning material & capacity plans across internal and external sites.
  • Track, analyze, and report key supply chain performance metrics, driving root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with global and regional supply chain teams to develop, document, and deploy best practices.
