EM Physician - Per Diem
About The Position
As a Physician in an affiliated medical practice, provides medical services to patients in an assigned area. Evaluates and treats specific populations served based on the norms for specialty and as directed by the Medical Director. Coordinates care and communicates with healthcare team as appropriate for specialty. Recommends, participates in, and actively works to ensure the success of efforts to improve quality and cost effectiveness of care provided to patients throughout the organization. Participates in medical staff and hospital committees, maintains acceptable attendance at specified meetings, and undertakes special projects as designated. Accepts patient referrals from other physicians. Acts as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital. Coordinates discharge planning with case manager for admitted patients. Participates in academic programs (e.g. medical education and research) as requested.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) - American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
- Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) - American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
- Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) - Maine State Board of Licensure of Podiatric Medicine
