About The Position
Ellis Medicine is seeking per diem Hospitalists to join our collaborative Hospital Medicine team. This is an excellent opportunity for physicians seeking flexible supplemental clinical work, a per diem practice option, or the ability to maintain flexibility while working within a well-supported hospital medicine program. Our Hospital Medicine model provides physicians with strong APP support, broad specialty resources, a closed ICU and no required procedures.
Requirements
- Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
- Licensed (or eligible) to practice in New York State
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care, including: Evaluation and management of hospitalized adult patients
- Daily rounding and development of individualized treatment plans
- Coordination of care with nursing, APPs, consultants, patients and families
- Admission and discharge management
- Responding to Rapid Response events as assigned
- Participation in multidisciplinary care planning
- Appropriate consultation and coordination with specialty services
- Providing high-quality, evidence-based inpatient care
