About The Position

During before and after school hours extended learning programs, organizes, coordinates, and supervises the Extended Learning Program (ELP) after-school program. Develops daily programming and routines in collaboration with the ELP Site Worker to standardize processes used at their designated school site, including activities and the safety and well-being of all children while on school site grounds. In collaboration with the ELP Site Worker oversees data entry for Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE). Ensures program compliance with all applicable District policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations, and standards of quality and safety. Establishes processes to maintain program records.

Requirements

  • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
  • Graduation from an accredited four-year (4 year) college and one (1) year of full-time experience in a group setting (paid or unpaid).
  • Sixty (60) semester hours of college training, with at least thirty (30) hours in business or management, child or youth development, early childhood education or related field, and two (2) years of full-time experience in a group setting (paid or unpaid).
  • High school diploma (or equivalent), and Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance (TECTA) certificate for completing thirty (30) clock hours of orientation training, or the equivalent as recognized by the Department, and four (4) years of full-time experience in a group setting (paid or unpaid).
  • Proof of education, training, and/or experience is required.
