About The Position

This is a temporary, non-exempt position for a 10-month term. The ELO Tutor will be responsible for planning, providing, and evaluating student-learning experiences, delivering evidence-based interventions, and developing instructional plans and materials. The role involves monitoring student outcomes, communicating with stakeholders, and fostering a positive learning environment. The tutor will also maintain records, ensure appropriate use of equipment, and participate in professional development. Collaboration with the Instructional Leadership Team, administration, and teachers is expected, as is supervision of students in various school settings. Regular attendance and performance of other work-related duties are also required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • Ability to relate well to students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work professionally and discretely with confidential information.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of curriculum, instruction, staff development, and assessment process.

Responsibilities

  • Directs, plans, provides, and evaluates student-learning experiences.
  • Delivers evidence-based and research-based interventions to identified students.
  • Develops, selects, and modifies instructional plans and materials as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate student outcomes.
  • Communicates and interacts with students, parents, staff, and community.
  • Provides an atmosphere and environment conducive to the intellectual, physical, social, and emotional development of children.
  • Strives to maintain and improve professional competence.
  • Maintains appropriate records and data collection.
  • Follows required procedures and practices.
  • Monitors appropriate use and care of equipment, materials, and facilities.
  • Maintains accurate student attendance and progress reports.
  • Utilizes assessment information to organize, coordinate, collaborate, plan, and deliver supplemental instruction to identified students.
  • Participates in professional development activities.
  • Works collaboratively with Instructional Leadership Team, administration, and classroom teachers to develop plans to meet student needs.
  • Supervises students in a variety of school-related settings.
  • Maintains regular, on-time attendance.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned.
