Elite Security Officer Shop Patrol Driver
About The Position
Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Elite Security Officer Shop Patrol Driver to serve and safeguard clients at a retail location in Austin, Texas. The armed patrol officer provides customer service and conducts vehicle and foot patrols throughout the retail location, maintaining a visible security presence to help deter incidents. The role responds to security concerns and critical situations, monitors access points and activity, reports hazards or suspicious behavior, and prepares accurate incident reports. The position requires a valid driver’s license and Texas Level III Armed Certification.
Requirements
- At least three years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least five years of armed security experience.
- Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Texas Level III Armed Certification.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Satisfactory background investigation, as permitted and required by applicable law.
- Drug screening, to the extent permitted by law.
- Participation in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements may apply before employment, subject to state and local laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store team members by following security procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Respond calmly to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations according to established protocols and reporting requirements.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols of sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas.
- Monitor access points and customer and employee activity; report suspicious behavior, hazards, or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Prepare accurate incident reports and communicate professionally with site leadership, law enforcement, emergency responders, and Allied Universal management as needed.
